Because I really don't feel like writing three papers tonight:

I finished watching the second Bleach movie.  Despite my love for Hitsugaya, I found the movie overall bland.  Which sucks, because I thrive on character backstory and annnngst.  It could've been a great chance for character developement for Hitsugaya, Matsumoto, the villian(s)... but no.  Not to say that it was horrible (it wasn't), but really....

I also read the first volume of Blank Slate by Aya Kanno.  Again, not impressed.  I'll read the second volume and see if it picks up there, but it's definitely not a series I'll be buying (...unless it gets infinitely more interesting).  The artwork is aesthetically pleasing and the characters have potential to be interesting, but it just seems.... slow.  And currently one-dimensional.

Honey & Clover on the other hand was PHENOMENAL!  I finished watching the series a few days ago and it actually brought TEARS to my eyes.  TEARS!  It's just the facts of life and how a couple twenty-something-year-olds deal with the hand their dealt, but that's what's so beautiful about it.  Anyway, it comes highly recommended and I'll have a full write up about it soon :D

Well, those papers aren't going to write themselves (drats!) so I guess I should get to it DX

A new Full Metal Alchemist series is in the works!

As one of my favorite anime of all time, this news (obviously) excites me to no end :D.  The only things that I can dig up on it is that it'll start airing in Japan in April 2009 and that it'll follow the manga storyline more closely than the first.  I'm curious to see what they'll do with the beginning episodes.  After all, up until the end of season one in the "first series," the anime had followed the manga fairly accurately (from what I hear).  And, though it breaks my heart to say it, it's not like they can continue from where the original anime ended--- especially if it's supposed to now follow the manga storyline.  Hmm....

In other news, I'm almost done watching Honey & Clover (the second season).  I'll be doing a write up about it in the near future.  After that, I'm going to re-watch Code Geass and do a write up about that. akdfjalfkja;f that anime XD/DX.  The more I think about it though, the more I'm tempted to rumage around the fandom and it's fics.  I have a few fic ideas for it myself :3.

Speaking of fic, aside from my weird ShinoIno piece, I've had another plot bunny plagueing me for awhile now.  It developed shorty after learning the "truth" of the Uchiha massacre and won't go away.  The story, I can already tell, is going to be looong, but I can't tell exactly where it's going or how it's getting there.  I do know that Sasuke is going to rip off Toph :D.  I also know that Danzou is going to play a large role in it.  ...And a bunch of other things that will happen, but the actual plotline seems rather muddled.  Oh well.  I'll work on it.

B-but new FMA :D. aflakdjfa;fkja; yay!

Last year it was LJ.  This year, DA?

Can I just say that I am soooo over this whole censorship thing?  I mean, I get it--- no one wants to see kiddie porn.  I don't want to see kiddie porn.  But I think there is a definitive difference between someone drawing/writing about a four-year-old with a sexual relationship with a twenty-year-old and a sexual relationship between two fifteen-year-olds.  WHO, EITHER WAY, ARE ENTIRELY FICTIONAL.  I love how America sells sex at every turn, but considers it a sinful taboo on an individual basis.  We're such a bunch of hypocrites.

For the record, I'm also over this whole dysfunctional economy.

Catchy Song of the Day"You Don't Know Me" by Ben Folds feat. Regina Spektor

That aside, work tonight!  Woo, paycheck, here I come!  Not that I'll get a single cent of it--- thanks a lot, school.  At least gas prices have fallen a bit....  I'll also get to see what my schedule for next week is.  I'm hoping I'll get more hours than I did this week (I signed on for twenty at the very least and I barely made ten this week D:), but considering Mary's cut everyone's hours that's unlikely....  Grr.  If I didn't like working at Borders so much I'd quit and find another job.

My attempt at being a great student this semester is off to a rocky start.  I miss my first Graphic Design assignment as well as my Adolescent Psych paper D:  I'm turning my papers for Psych in late, but there's no way to make up for my Graphic Design one.  Bugger.  Creative Writing and Radio Broadcasting are going well though.  Well, I think Radio's going well; it turns out we hand all assignments in online, so it's a little confusing.  However, I'll be on the radio by next month!  Hurray!!!  And you can listen to me too, haha.  WKKL streams :D

I haven't had much time to write this week, but I've thought of a way to start my ShinoIno fic.  Somewhere in the middle of the fic, Ino is assigned to follow up on a mission she had completed a month or so prior to when the fic starts.  However, because the mission turned out to have a rather large impact on her and work it's way into a number of conversations throughout the fic, I figured it might be worth actually writing about said mission.  It'll be a prologue to the story.  Yay :D.

I am currently (as we speak) working on my Kakashi-Shisui piece.  I've decided it'll be apart of an arc, since there are a few other story ideas I wish to elaborate on, but won't fit in this particular piece.  My goal is to finish it by the end of the month and then get it beta'd.

My other goal for the month is to officially get voting up for[info]naruto_choice.  Why do I fail so epicly at this contest? DX

Gah, I've hit a filler in Bleach (well, like everyone else too, apparently), but I'll watch it anyway.  Now I can confidently move onto the manga though :D.  Just gotta find out what chapter the anime left off on (which was cute IchiHime cuteness XD).  It just occured to me that I like a lot of pairings (or pairing ideas, at least) for this series, but have NO IDEA what I'd look for in a fanfic.  I don't know what there is to really fic about in the series, haha.  If anyone has any recs I'd be much obliged though :).  I'm pretty much open to anything and any pairing.

Aside from Bleach, I'm watching Honey and Clover.  I'm on.... episode five.  It kinda reminds me of Here Is Greenwood.  Unfortnately, I have no interest in Hagu so far, so it's a little annoying how two of the main characters seem to be obsessed with her :/.  I'm hoping as the series progresses she'll be more fleshed out; right now she's looking a little one-dimensional.

Well, I'm off to try and write a bit before work :D  I have an interesting meme I want to work on, too.  I think people's answers could be very interesting :3.

So, I'm not dead.  Really, I'm not.  I actually have quite a bit of down time on my hands right now (that I have no idea what to do with considering I'm use to working).  It's hard for me to believe that it's nearly August.  Where the hell did July go?  I guess that's what happens when you're busy balancing work and a social life (but mostly work).

Speaking of work, I absolutely LOVE working at Borders.  My boss (or rather, the head hancho boss considering I have four of them) talks to me like a retarded four-year-old (minus the compassion), but aside from that I like it very much.  Just about all of my co-workers and bosses (aside from the one previously mentioned) are great.  Working there has also gotten me back into a very much needed reading kick.  I think I've read about four or five books in the last two weeks.  Among those books have been the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyers.  Or, two of the eventual four anyway.

That being said, OH MY GOD AVATAR FINALE!!!!!!!!

Anyway.  I'm going to try to be productively creative over the next couple of days.  Which means writing.  And doing artwork.  And.... maybe stopping by laststopgakuen.  If I don't do that pretty soon I might have to drop Hinata D:

I will be trying to catch up with everyone on my lovely f-list.  Hope life has been treating everyone good =).

So, here's the low down:

I HAVE A JOB!  I was hired for a new Borders "concept" store back in May, but as it just finished being built a week or two ago, I hadn't actually started work until last week.  I went to orientation last Friday and then began what's dubbed the "sorting" process at the actual bookstore (orientation was held at a hotel).  "Sorting" is basically grunt work; we're unboxing books, shelving them, sorting them, etc, etc....  IT'S HARD WORK, but I'm having fun :D.  Everyone's really nice and upbeat (so far), which is a nice change of pace in the work environment.

Unfortunately, my hours are crazy and I only have one day off a week, which basically leaves me with very little time in the day to do much more than to work, eat, and sleep.  Come July 10th things will run a lot more smoother though; the store will open and though I hope to be working full-time during the summer, my weird schedule should regulate itself somewhat.  I'll be incredibly happy when that time arrives.

I'll be bumping the closing date on

naruto_choice back a couple of weeks in liu of my time managment issues right now, so if you want to nominate anything you now have extra time :D.  Unfortunately for me, I probably won't have time to nominate anything, but....  I also won't have time to finish my Lily fan art mood theme or icon batch DX<.  Oh well.  As soon as my schedule regulates itself....

F-list, I apologize for lack of commenting.  I'll try to when I can.  But I really just don't have tiiiiiime D:

If you need anything you can always email me though :D.  I check that at least once a day.  (Comment here if you don't have my email address--- I'll get it :D).

Much love~

Oh Kishimoto, you silly bitch you~

Until the scanlation of the chapter is out, that's really all I have to say upon the matter at the moment.  However, the recent turn of events has re-awakened my interest in writing some of my Uchiha theories and analysis.

I'M DYING!!!1!

Or, I feel like I am, which is basically the same thing for all intents and purposes. I don't know what I caught, I think it's just a severe case of allergies, but it SUCKS. More than anything else in the world I HATE being sick. Gaaaaah.

To keep myself amused during my invalid-like state, I re-read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It was my first time re-reading it since it came out last year, so it was kinda like reading it for the first time. Interestingly enough I had hours upon hours of fever-induced dreams centering on Harry Potter. No, I don't remember a single one, but I just remember dreaming, and being hot and cold and achey, AND NOT REALLY SLEEPING. Suckity suck suck. Anyway, I finished re-reading HP7 today and it rekindled my desire to write my In the Absense of Light one-shot compilations. I should really do that before my interest dwindles once again. On a funnier note

Also need to get myself to work on that Itachi and Shisui fic >_>. STOP BEING LAZY, APRIL!

Am currently amusing my runny nose with watching Code Geass. I'm on... episode seven. It's.... interesting, so far, but we'll see. Whatever the green-haired girl's name is intrigues me 'cause she's not the stereotypical "I grant you powers and WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER" type of character, which ANNOYS meeeee. So. Yeah. Watching Code Geass.

Mm... Want HP fic. Any recs are welcome. I would, however, prefer non-slash unless it teenage!Dumbledore 'cause, rofl, that's technically canon XD.

Oh, by the way, The Gentlemen's Club makes my life.

The link above will bring you to their myspace page.  You can download "Disco Punk" and some of their others there :D.

And that's all she wrote, folk :D.  lol, it's the sickness.
